Anyone fished Lake Nipissing ON? I have a reservation for 8/7-8/14 that I may have to give up!

Help! I'm about to give up my Lake Nipissing ON reservation for Aug. 7th - 14th. The cost is $675 for two or $725 for four. I went last year for the first time and the owner of the resort guided us and went fishing with us during our stay. The owner even played cards with us one night. We only saw one other musky boat the whole trip and that was one day on Friday. We only caught three muskies, however it's a big lake and it takes time to learn your way around!

I have no takers from my Quad County Hawg Hunters, Chapter 17, Plano MI club. I just contacted a member of the Flatlanders, Rockford MI for help. They know members from Madison MI so I'm hopeful!

Permalink Reply by Ryan on March 18, 2010 at 8:59am: Some huge muskie come out of Nippissing every year. Last year there seemed to be a few in the 60" range... The fish were past their prime for sure, but the fish in this area are unreal. At times I find the fishing a little slow, but you need to pick your spots.

I concentrate more of my time on the French river.... The river system between Nippissing and Georgian Bay.; ▶ Reply to This
