I agree, Very, Very tough Conditions. It seems that the fish were scattered and had no real pattern and of course the wind and barometric pressure change mid morning did not help. Chris and I picked 6 spots to fish and stuck with them and it paid off with a 38.75 that crushed a Subwalker, we raised 2 other scooter fish that would not have measured and that was it for the day.

Congrats to Frank B (Franks Custom Rods) and Rich G (Big Goomba Guide service) on their win, popping a nice 41.5. It was great to see them on the Stage accepting there 1st place and Big fish awards. "GREAT JOB GUYS"

It was tough for sure. We did manage a 34.5 for 4th place. It was just nice to make it on the board. I had 7 fish total to the boat and they were all on a Black Holoform Hellhound. The fish we moved we tight to shore in 3 to 5 f.o.w. Congrats to all who caught fish, and thanks to everyone involved in setting up this event.

On the Chain we catch fish all the way to Ice up casting. You just need to slow it way down, Gliders like HellHounds and Phantons that you can run deeper at a really slow pace are key and soft plastics like dogs and tubes realy work well. Right now you will still find the fish scattered (shallow and deep) for a couple more weeks as long as the water temps are above 40, once the water reaches the low 40 deg mark start moving onto the deeper breaks. Work suprer slow and methodically and you should have some sucess.

Do you think there will be anymore casting bites left this year?
