Hey everyone, just looking for opinions on lure colors and want to see what everyone has to say about purple baits?? All comments welcome. This is a purple w/white firetiger stripes Monster MuskieBurger. This bait can be used as a topwater, casted and will go down 2-3 feet and if trolled will go down 7-9 feet at 3.8-4.2 mph. Thanks for looking and good luck fishing. Ken

hi ken. we did a purple scaled bait called purple haze years back. it produced some nice fish. problem was it was for 1 week in september . . bait colors here can be fickle

Ken, as Geoage says, fish at this end can be fickle. Altho I know a gentleman that pulled a purple and red bucktail most of the summer last year and di real well with it. I pulled one last year and didn't do nearly as well as he did. But thats me and what do I know?

I thew a purple bucktail last year for the first time ever, only about 20 cast total and no fish, but I think a purple crank would work better than a bucktail.I`ll have to throw that bucktail more this year and see how it does

I have had good success with a purple bucktail and orange blade combination. I like to fish it in dark water.

Thanks to those of you who replied. I guess only time will tell if this bait will be a good one. I decided to add to this post and hopefully if Purple don't turn on those big girls maybe Purle & Pink will?? So what do ya think?? Bring on the comments. Ken

Purple worked good for me last year, A lot of follows. It seemed like the purple baits were doing great in early fall and clear water last year in my boat!
