Whats your opinion on purple bait??

Hey everyone, just looking for opinions on lure colors and want to see what everyone has to say about purple baits?? All comments welcome. This is a purple w/white firetiger stripes Monster MuskieBurger. This bait can be used as a topwater, casted and will go down 2-3 feet and if trolled will go down 7-9 feet at 3.8-4.2 mph. Altho I know a gentleman that pulled a purple and red bucktail most of the summer last year and di real well with it. I pulled one last year and didn't do nearly as well as he did. purple is a very good color on clear lakes.
a little different than black. dark silohette under surface.

Thanks to those of you who replied. I guess only time will tell if this bait will be a good one. I decided to add to this post and hopefully if Purple don't turn on those big girls maybe Purle & Pink will?? So what do ya think?? Bring on the comments. Ken
