WHAT!!! Pierce Lake has muskies?! I never knew that. The Flatlanders Chapter has been stocking them for years?! I'll have to give it a try.

Don't forget breakfast tomorrow at Cracker Barrel. 7 a.m. Eat hearty and then head for the Chicago show. This counts as our January meeting. Hope to see you in the a.m.

I am now on board and have set a new goal next year: to catch a bigger fish that I can use for my profile photo.

Heading up to fish Kentuck for the first time, hope I can get into one of those Tigers like JB did a few years back. Weather should be perfect, 22deg with snow.... Last trip of the year for this area..

No muskies landed on this trip, but Joey moved a beauty. The look on his face priceless! He just mumbled big.. big.. big.. with his lure out of the water. I didn't see her the first two times he moved her on a Beleiver, so I thought he was telling stories. Then I got her next to the boat on a Weagle, she was all of 48" for sure. He moved her 4 times & me once. She just would not bite! I wish we had a sucker out, she might have eaten that??

That's good news, maybe the big girls are gonna start move a little bit! Leavin in about 9 hours, I won't be able to sleep. Well, maybe we'll see ya some time on the water. See ya.

Weather has changed again...today cool with high winds and thunder storms. Winds are to settle down this afternoon and for now they are calling for sun and 70. Not seeing tons of fish but seeing nice fish. I hope to stop in and say hi but if you see a green/ blue Stratos with a 175 suzuki come over and say hello.
Ed

Safe travels

Might be interesting on the lake next week as it will be full of flat landers. LOL Besides your gang the FRV Muskies Inc crew will be up staying at Angle Outpost.

Smaller buck tails seem to be the ticket right now. But the top water bite is pretty good late in the day into evening. If I raise a fish during the day I am having luck getting her to go on top water at night. It was 74 today and maybe 76 Thur but they are calling for high winds and TS. Friday calling for sun and 72. I am finding most fish on mid lake rock and not many in the weeds. Crazy year and it seems no pattern from one day to the next? Can you figure this....2 weeks in a boat on LOTW and I have yet to see a black fly in the boat? Very nice weather to fish in but terrible fishing weather if that makes sense?

Hey Ed, good to hear from ya. If I can get the small caravan of vehicals to travel faster than 65 mph ( Steve) then maybe some of that mid 80 degree temps that will be here Friday will follow us up. Are the fish lookin at smaller baits or what? I know you really only need just a few baits but ya really never know. What do think?
