I been half spooling the one that I use for big baits to drop the line pick up a bait its like dropping the gear ratio.

I was looking through the members on site of muskylink. I found yours interesting. My mom was born and raised in Phillips. we used to go fishing on a lot of the lakes in your area years ago. Deer,Duroy,Phillips Chain, Solberg, Soo, Lake of the pines,Sailor Creek Flowage.
My sister has a cabin on Soo. I have never caught a musky over 42" up there. I don`y come up there to often anymore. I do have a relative there still. Cousin Kevin Klein Lawyer in Phillips.
Have you ever drifted down or waded the Elk River above where it comes into Duroy?
My uncles used to do that in the old days.
