hey ben, you wont be dissadisfied with these tails. cj does a awsome job on these and he and his brother bill has proven that they work.. the way he has put these together they will not fall apart. you can bet on that. once they start selling i believe they will fly for him. he has comeup with a new and bright way of putting them together . i have never seen any done like his.. you can bet they will get thrown by me and my clients next season.. cj you need to come up with some stickers for my boat to advertise for ya dude.....bill

i use spary cans. first sand, 2 coats primer(white for true color)2-3 coats of color then 5-6 lite coats of lacquer clear coat(RUST-OLEUM) after that i spray just around the hole 3-4 more times. it really helps to protect the paint. i think power paint chips the worest so if i buy a buck with painted blades i always clear coat then and rebulid.i use .062 wire when i can also. ever use a small blade off the back hook?

tight lines jay

Now are these baits just for your own personal use or do you sell them to other people, I definetly agree that bucktails are very versatile, but I have still yet to catch one on a bucktail. They are definetly not confidence baits at all for me.

CJ, I have a question for you about the homemade bucktails you have, please don't take this as an attack because it isn't meant to be. I notice that the material on the bucktails extends past the back hook, now I don't make my own lures and I am very new to the addiction but I was under the impression that the material shouldn't extend past back hook. Am I wrong or is that only in case of nippers?
