I'll always have a larger (but still small) Bass jig with a crawfish trailer rigged and ready to go in the boat during the spring, which is when you normally see muskies up shallow here in Illinois. These fish usually require a stealthy approach wit…

Some lures I use for sight fishing are bass size jigs with a fluke rigged so that the soft plastic will stand up when jig hits bottom. I've had Muskies to swim up to the jig and turn sideways and take it right off the bottom using very little moveme…

David, another approach that Kingfisher just touched on in the end, is using some type of jigs. We fish a very-clear water system on the Canadian opener and do a lot of sight-fishing as the muskies are in the shallows post-spawn. Our best luck has b…

Hey David,
I noticed that you fish in Sweden. I go there every other year for a few weeks. My wife's family lives in Karlstad. I try to go out fishing while I'm there, but have not had much luck. I have fished in the river by the house, and also in Torsby. Most people there I talk to look at me wierd if I say I want to fish for pike. I'd love to go somewhere while I'm there. Any suggestions? Maybe near Karlstad?
If you are looking for cowgirl knock-offs ,I'd be glad to twist a few up for you. Let me know. Good Luck, BRAD
