Been having a great bass spring so far. Have caught 3 over 4 pounds and many in the 2-4 pound range (spinnerbaits and crankbaits). Getting ready to head up to Maine in a few weeks for smallmouth, then up th Phillips, WI for 3 days of Musky fishing.

Glad to hear your bass fishing is going well also. Is it just me, or does it seem like this summer is flying by?

Ed,

You been doing any good on the water? Got back from Lake of the Ozarks. Caught some nice fish, but not the numbers we were hoping for.

Sounds like they have been pulling some nice muskie out of Kinkaid with a few approaching 50 inches.

Hope you are doing well on the bass over there.

Ed,

Thanks for the call yesterday. Tournement fishing sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Just won't be this one. The first weekend in May for me is a family trip to Lake of the Ozarks. This has been on my calendar for so long I almost forgot about it. Going to try and catch some big crappie and even bigger bass.

If there are any other events in May or June, I am up for them!

Hope to be fishing with you soon,

Scott

Ed,

One of these days we will get together and fish. My schedule is kind of up in the air again. I found out I will be dploying back to the desert in late July or early August. So much for fall musky fishing.

If you have a free weekend or even week day in early June, give me a call.

Ed,

Are you up for fishing on Saturday? I have a day off from the Marine Corps and will be bringing my boat down from Scott AFB.

Let me know if you are free and want to wet a line.

Sorry also for the short notice, but I was able to clear my schedule on Friday (by surprise). I'll give you more notice the next time I come down.

I also moved two fish, but nothing in the boat. About 0800 I had a strike on a Grandma up in the weedline. Then nothing until 430pm when I had a big blow-up on a bucktail (orange/yellow) fished very shallow.

My phone number is 618-288-5654.

Ed,

I am planning on coming down to fish Kinkaid tomorrow. Would you be up for throwing some big chunks of wood into the water? I bought a new Thriller and a Grandma and need to get them wet.

Ed,

Thanks for the reply. Hope you had some luck Sunday even though there wasn't a cloud in the sky. About my schedule, it opens up near the end of November. I am going to try and get down there then.

Hopefully we can get together and boat one.

Ed,

Hi. I'm stationed up here at Scott AFB. I enjoy fishing for the bruisers down in Kinkaid and Shelbyville. If you would ever be intested in fishing with an Marine, give me a call. I'll bring down my boat.
