Compre's are available in 2 pieces, my buddy has one and I have used it for the last 3 seasons, I only noticed it was a 2 piece after he told me about half way through last season. It does the job just fine.
Undertakers (make sure ya get the ones that don't have the recent experimental epoxy coating, they crack easily without hitting structure) manta's, hellhounds, soft tail phantoms all work for me.
Very nice, just goes to show what a good stick from Capital City Musky Inc. can do from shore. I see you snuck out in a boat on one of those (cheater- haha). TC
The season started off AWESOME for me and my fishing buddy, a total of 17ski's in the net in the month of May alone, then the action seemed to taper off, with 3 in the month of june and 2 so far in July. I can't say it hasn't been a good season at a…
I used to have a beckman, then this off season I got the 8450 Big Kahuna, I love this net so far, its a tad bit difficult to net fish by yourself but it can be done. My net has already had over 20 muskies in it this season with 3 fish over 45 and nu…
I live in madison WI, I love to fish for muskies. I don't have the advantage of having a boat so all of my fishing is done from shore, but this doesn't deter me from seeking these magnificent fish and putting them in the net to later be released. I practice CPR on all my fish.

not an attack at all bro, Ive been protoing these lures for over a year and the trail skirts with or without a twister tail trailer are what the musky seems to key on in the figure 8. got alot of fish in the 8 and all of my protos either caught fish or brought them to an 8. By far the flash/bucktail is the most versital bait on the market and can do more than any bait ive used in my 35 years of fishing. with the trail skirt there is nothing there to stop the fish from going right to the hook. Thanks for your input.
Year round in Illinois Jeff, same in Indiana where I like to fish alot also. I see you shore fish a bunch, well, one in Illinois that is worth checking out is the Shelbyville Spillway. Good luck!

I use 200#. And honestly, I don't test them. I have never had one break on me. Knock on wood!
Is he dead weighting or is he dropping the 75 LBS. That may have something to do with it.

Yes, there are Ice Guides... No I would probably never guide on the ice. It's too boring for me. Some people love it! It is fun being out there with your buddies and slaying the crappies and drinking my weight in beer, but I couldn't endure the day to day pressure of "Having" to fish on the ice. Maybe if I had some giant pike in the area I would be game.

Beside all of the gear repair and magazine duties, I still try to fish. Last year I bought a 16' ice castle permanent house. So I try to ice fish for Crappies the most, then a bit of walleye and pike. I try to hit the ocean a time or two, other than that, Just spend time at home with my wife dreaming of soft water and heavy baits.
