Not the greatest pic, but i have a few suicks that are destroyed. This one finally had the hook pulled out of it. However, I still wanted to use it that summer.
Talked to Pine Island and they kind of closed the resort but are looking at renting the cabins seasonally. I am getting more info from Joe and I will share. Could be a good deal for a few guys??
Thanks Jon. When I caught that fish I was buy my self. It jumped and I thought I was into a 30 pounder. I was amazed when I put her on the bump board and she only went 43.5". Of all the nice fish I caught on the flowage or any where else last year that was my favorite.

Jon, I used two of the photos you sent me for the April issue of Muskie magazine. Keep an eye out for them, and thanks again for sending them in.
Send me a pm at bjwaldera@i29.net. I see a place on Walleye Central classifieds where they are advertising a cabin for rent on Minnaki for $35 per person/night. Pretty cheap lodging!
October is great in either area. September can be hit or miss, but can be great topwater if the water cools in early Sept. and the fish go shallow early.
Re:Winnepeg River
I spent a few days up there in 05 and have been wanting to get back, but have been putting other trips in front of it. Saw some real nice fish but didn't do too hot. I stuck a 40" in Pistol and my brother got a 46.5" in Little Sand. Some friends of mine have done well there in the past. It's not a numbers lake like LOTW, but sure is nice water to fish.
Yah, that Vid was kind of a neat deal. I got thrown into it at the last minute, but did what I could to put some fish on camera. It's really interesting to see the finished product...I have to admit it wasn't exactly what I expected, but I won't complain.
If you ever are in Central MN let me know. I'm usually have a good idea whats working and would be happy to offer some insight, or you could hop in with me if I don't have any other commitments.
I feel grateful all the time, it beats a tourny hands down. Best of all you become a lifetime memory. Kids by far are the most complicated, but give you that reward that pays dividends. Take care and may you repeat, TC
