Has anyone used or heard about the Shimano Calcutta TE 400 LJV Lucanus reel? It comes with an adjustable power handle that may work better than the TE 400?
yesterday
Never had the pleasure of using one but like most have mentioned here... I've also heard many, many awesome things about the Calcutta 400TE.
on Sunday
Calcutta TE. By far the best reel Ive ever owned. Ive thrown lots of double 13's the last few years without a single reel issue. That is, until it somehow blew out of my brothers boat. Along with an 8-6 bulldog rod. Somewhere along route 30, between…

I decided to buy the CTE-400 2010 model for $335 including S/H. The used and possibly abused TE400s were going for over $200. I felt it was worth the peace of mind and warranty to pay the extra $. The Revo Toro 60 sounds like a great reel, however I…

Mike, I'm use to my Calcutta 400B @11.7oz vs the 700TE @19oz! The 400TE is 12.8 about as heavy as I'm willing to go. I decided to buy the 400TE 2010 model for $335 including S/H. I will be selling my 400B with the power handle on Ebay in April.

700TE! They will do everything a 400te does only better, the gear ratio is a little lower so working hard pulling baits is a little easier, bigger gears, bigger anti-reverse bearing, winch style power handle, 31'' of line per turn, the only draw bac…

My favorite reel right now is my toro 60. I can cast it a mile if I have to. It is low profile and you can get a good amount of line on the spool.

What is the best musky reel on the market today?

There are so many musky reels to choose from, however if you could have just one musky reel what would you pick and why? I prefer quality, longevity, and ease of use, that is less strain on reeling in those Double Cowgirls!

Tim,

I just checked and I'll miss Sunrise and Moonset on Monday. How about I come up Sunday night instead of Monday morning?

What would be a good time Sunday night?
