The profile picture is an OH fatty from Dec '09. Shield type lakes/rivers ARE definately the most beautiful places to fish!! -And the fish in those areas are huge too!

awesome man. I would love to take a trip myself out to the georgian bay area. or french river area. Lotsa monster fish are caught aound there. I had an alright season 2 over 50 this summer. I wish i coulda fished for them alot more but i didnt seem to get musky clients ever. usually 3-4 people in my boat so i only have a few groups i can cast serious with. well thats sweet your wife got a 50+ thats great you two always seeem to find a few bigguns out from wiley. congrats! are you able to do late season trolling for the girthy ones? I left lotw last week, but now im at home and will be trolling eagle lake for a world record the next week or two. haha. i grew up on eagle lake and its sick. so much boulders andcabbage and shallow water areas its like big narrows with more cabbage. youll have to check it out some day. i had one follow my walleye there last fall that was sickening( i dont wanna make a guess cuz they look bigger in the water) but. if i could guess i would say upper upper 50's if not 60+. maybe ill catch her. take care nice to hear from yah!

Also did you try much trolling in october when u were on your second trip last summer. October was a good month, my guest got a 53.5 on a 14inch jake and 11 other muskies in the 5 days, all trolling 14 inchers( BLACK PERCH, OR GOLDEN SHINER) bUT i also love fishing your style the best , whipping cowgirls all day especially super model's, and a lil top water here and there if the dcg's arnt working. ahahaha. maybe ill see you and your wife in august. take care bud!

I forgot to add that I bought all my other supplies flouro, snaps, swivels, and nail knot tool from Rollie and Helens. They steered me in the right direction.
