wow yesterday way a goo day..i went out by me today at shabbona but only raised two fish..I(M gonna have to come up by you again soon..i'll let you know
Yes I do sell them . I am in the process of setting up a web store and hope to have it up by the end of the month, until then you can e-mail me at pmlures@yahoo.com and let me know what you are interested in. thanks C.J.
not an attack at all bro, Ive been protoing these lures for over a year and the trail skirts with or without a twister tail trailer are what the musky seems to key on in the figure 8. got alot of fish in the 8 and all of my protos either caught fish or brought them to an 8. By far the flash/bucktail is the most versital bait on the market and can do more than any bait ive used in my 35 years of fishing. with the trail skirt there is nothing there to stop the fish from going right to the hook. Thanks for your input.
Year round in Illinois Jeff, same in Indiana where I like to fish alot also. I see you shore fish a bunch, well, one in Illinois that is worth checking out is the Shelbyville Spillway. Good luck!

I use 200#. And honestly, I don't test them. I have never had one break on me. Knock on wood!
Is he dead weighting or is he dropping the 75 LBS. That may have something to do with it.

Yes, there are Ice Guides... No I would probably never guide on the ice. It's too boring for me. Some people love it! It is fun being out there with your buddies and slaying the crappies and drinking my weight in beer, but I couldn't endure the day to day pressure of "Having" to fish on the ice. Maybe if I had some giant pike in the area I would be game.

Beside all of the gear repair and magazine duties, I still try to fish. Last year I bought a 16' ice castle permanent house. So I try to ice fish for Crappies the most, then a bit of walleye and pike. I try to hit the ocean a time or two, other than that, Just spend time at home with my wife dreaming of soft water and heavy baits.

I may be down south for the entire month of March... Maybe?
Show season can be pretty hectic.

I'm working on a seminar about Tactics to be successful on highly pressured water.

Yeah, I put the boat away on thanksgiving. Our lakes up here are pretty much frozen over. People are already dragging their portables out on the ice. I'm a little depressed and I know that I could travel to open water but I have 3 seminars to create and get ready for show season. So I'm not that broken up.
Plus, I did pretty well this year, so I don't want to get too greedy.
Lately, I have been using the Berkely 7 Strand crimps. I made a 100 #200 flouro leaders for a guy and he told me I could keep the left overs, which was quite a bit of stuff. I'm not sure what they cost but I like a longer crimp and these crimps are long... Probably an inch.
As for a crimping tool, I just went to Menards and looked at their tools and found a decent one... Unfortunately, as of now, it is all corroded and shitty. I have cleaned it several times with Inhibitor and WD40 but it just keeps getting locked up. Looks like I'll be getting a new one this winter. Buying them from fishing retailers is too expensive, I just get my tools from Hardware stores and or the manufacturers.
Sounds like a plan, give me a call for next year. I'll call you if Nov. has weather that is worth fishing in. I'm sure it will for suckers and Dawgs. Yes the season closes the end of Nov. The trip would be an in-expensive one for you if I pick you up in Madison on my way back to the northwoods from Janesville. Let me know. TC
I know you don't have a boat, just thought you might like to hit the north woods for minimal cost. Give me a couple dates mid-week for two days and I'll let you know whats good for me. Thanks, TC
